The family-owned estate appeals to keen golfers with its superb 18-hole golf course whilst relaxation seekers will love the spa experience. It’s a complete escape from the city, where guests can immerse themselves in the peaceful surroundings and beautiful rural views.

Rooms at Bicester Golf & Country Club

All 52 rooms and suites are contemporary in design with a calming palette of pale yellow, creams and sage green. Many of the rooms have views over the stunning golf course while others the inner courtyard garden.

Rooms are furnished with a comfy king size bed, desk and also have a sitting area as well as complimentary water and tea & coffee making facilities.

Facilities at Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa

There is plenty to keep you occupied at the hotel from the golf course, tennis courts, gym and a 20-metre swimming pool. 

The pool always operates a dedicated ‘fast lane’ which allows for adult swimming even at kids swimming times. Poolside facilities include a hydro spa, spa bath, steam rooms, sauna and a solarium.

The Forest of Wellbeing Spa is a pampering paradise and has six luxurious treatment rooms, two pedicure rooms, a spray tanning room and a dedicated nail bar.

Elemis products are used in the range of treatments offered. On my visit, I enjoyed a 55-minute full-body massage. The masseuse alleviated all my bodily stresses and strains as I walked out feeling 100% relaxed.

When the tummy rumbles, guests have a choice of places to dine. Choose either the more formal Grays Restaurant with the a la carte menu, with plenty of creative vegetarian and vegan options too.

No mushroom risotto on offer here, more like courgette and sweetcorn fritters accompanied with butternut squash, tenderstem broccoli, topped with pomegranate, toasted seeds and maple dressing.

During the day you can also indulge in an afternoon tea with sweeping views of the lake and golf course. It comes with the usual goodies of scones, cakes and finger sandwiches washed down with tea or bubbles.

Bar Nineteen offers a more casual atmosphere, play a game of pool or catch the latest sports games on TV with a beer and bite to eat.

For a quiet moment head to the Portrait Lounge to relax with a healthy smoothie after a gym session or enjoy a cocktail from the bar menu. The walls are adorned with paintings of Club members by the owner himself.

HOW TO GET TO Bicester Hotel Golf And Spa

The hotel is close to the M40, so very easy to reach with plenty of free parking available onsite. There are also direct train links from London and Oxford. Only a 40-minute journey from London, arrive straight into Bicester Village Train station and hit the shops before heading to the hotel for some relaxation. If you’re looking for more things to do, there are plenty of experiences to enjoy in 24 hours in Oxford.
